American Singles is part of the Spark Network - a group of dating websites with different labels but the same backend (software/membership). In other words, this website isn't only for Americans. There is a good selection of people from Canada, Europe and Latin America here as well. Their first website was JDate - now the number one Jewish singles website in the world.
The software is great for keeping track of what you've done. You can view lists of whose profiles you have viewed and who has viewed YOUR profile. Also, without leaving the main page you can select whether you would, might, or wouldn't click with a small list of selected matches. If you both end up clicking 'yes', those matches are put in a special Hot List.
Support at American Singles is offered over the phone and via Email tickets. It is quick, whichever option you use. There is also a good selection of dating advice articles for members to browse.
American Singles is another solid dating program which you can get a good feel of without spending a cent. It is very easy to use and has a great feel to it, in my opinion. Whether you're American or not, this is worth taking a look.

How it Works:
With a free account you can post a profile, search for members, send flirts, and reply to instant messages. With a Premium account, which you pay monthly for, you can send email, read and reply to all messages, and post on Message Boards.
In other words, the only way you can connect with someone without paying is if you happen to be online at the same time a Premium member is, and they send you an instant message right then.
