Massive. That is probably the best single word I could use to describe the online dating website with the best domain in the business. Date is big in both the number of members it has (8 million), and the number of countries it reaches. I signed up, and the next day there were 26 new members within 100 miles of me - 20,000 new members worldwide. It's hard to argue with this kind of success. Their software is as easy to use as their domain name is to remember. Everything is right there when you log in; all of your contacting features, your profile statistics, an advanced search form, and a selection of "featured members" that are quite pleasant to look at. They ask quite a few questions when you are creating your profile, but for the most part they are good ones. I especially like the fact that your profile can have up to 4 pictures, even though the max size is rather small (2mb). You can build your profile and search through Date.com's huge database for free. Date also keeps track of who you have views and - more importantly - who has viewed you, whether you are paying for your account or not. If you want to send emails, video/audio/text IMs, and access their chat rooms (which are surprisingly active), you must become a Gold member. For this you can pay monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Support was a bit slower than I expected. My profile updates always took a day. Perhaps this was just because I was on at irregular hours - but hey, vampires are people too, Date.com. Overall, Date is just too big to recommend or not recommend. If I had to pick an age group it is most popular with I would say the thirtysomethings. You should make a free account, browse for a little while, and see if there are many people you are interested in for your particular area.
